Kelley joined Thorn Hill Education Center in June 2017, bringing with her a wealth of experience in education and a strong commitment to supporting learners in various settings. As the 9th Executive Director of Thorn Hill, Kelley has played a pivotal role in shaping the center's programs and initiatives. Her background includes a Bachelor of Science in Teaching (K-12) and a Master of Arts in Health Education, both from Eastern Kentucky University, which have equipped her with the skills needed to lead in diverse educational environments.
In addition to her administrative responsibilities, Kelley is actively involved in teaching. She works within the corrections setting, helping individuals achieve important milestones such as their National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) and GED. Her dedication to second chances and educational equity is evident in her efforts to support those looking to improve their lives through education. Furthermore, Kelley also serves as the English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher at Thorn Hill, assisting non-native speakers in acquiring the language skills they need to succeed.
The team at Thorn Hill is excited to have Kelley at the helm, and they look forward to the partnerships and opportunities she will bring to the organization. Her leadership, combined with her passion for education and community service, makes her an invaluable asset to the center. The staff and community are eager to see how her contributions will enhance the work of Thorn Hill and the Frankfort Christian Family Initiative (FCFI).
